Homestudy Ready
If you have stumbled across this blog or if you have followed it from our Facebook, we are so glad you stopped by. I want this blog to be a story of our 2nd adoption journey. If you want to read about our first journey check out justinloripalmer.blogspot.com. I wanted to continue this story on that blog, but for some reason it wouldn't allow me to post any more.
An update from before: T, who we brought home at 4 days old, is now 4 years old and a ball of energy. We love having him and we know that God chose him for our family because it could not have been a better fit. Titus has enjoyed being the only child, but has been asking for a baby sister or brother. We have enjoyed Titus, but we know he needs a sibling to share all his adventures with.
In April we sent in our first set of paperwork for our homestudy, by the middle of my we were homestudy approved for our next adoption!! YAY!!! This time went so much quicker because our social worker was getting out of the business & we contacted her before she retired. Since we already had a homestudy with her before it didn't take as long to approve us and finish our paperwork.
We are almost ready to send in more of the information to our agency to start searching for our EM (expectant mother). This journey has seemed to be easier this time around. We have decided to do some fundraising and grants this time too. We know God can provide the finances. We had a garage sale a couple weeks ago that gave us most of what we need for to start our search. We are still a little short, but know that God will provide it in his own time.
We are excited to see what God has in store for us during this new adventure of a second adoption.
Here are some ways you can pray for us
~ finances
~ strength & patience in the waiting period
~ God giving us the child he wants for our family at the time he wants to place it in our family.
