Waiting
Waiting....not one of my favorite verbs. Waiting, we do so much of it every day, but nothing is like waiting for a child. Waiting for a child you don't know or even know when they will be part of your life. The waiting part of adoption is the hardest part for me. I don't like to wait and not know an outcome or have a timeline as to when something is going to happen. I have heard it said that you are just pregnant without a due date. While others may see it this way I don't. I see it the only way I can....waiting. We are waiting for that email that says "we have a situation you may be interested in", waiting for that call saying "the birthmom has chosen you" or the email saying "she has chosen another family" and we continue waiting again. Lots of waiting. While I try to keep my mind occupied with other things it is hard. I check my email just to see and email from the agency about an event they have coming up.
